Abstract:

A series of 2-amino pyridine-3-carbinitrile derivatives incorporated coumarin moiety has developed via multicomponent condensation of 3-acetyl-2H-chromen-2-one, arylaldehydes, malononitrile and ammonium acetate utilizing Brønsted acidic ionic liquid, (4-sulfobutyl)tris(4-sulfophenyl)phosphonium hydrogen sulfate as catalyst under solvent-free conditions. Good yields, short reaction times, straight forward workup, reusability of the ionic liquid and green conditions are the most obvious advantages of this methodology.

One-pot synthesis of 2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidines using homogeneous catalyst under solvent-free conditions

The chemistry of 2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidines began to develop toward the end of 1893 year, when the first representatives of this class compounds were reported by P. Biginelli. Despite prior reports of several really effective catalytic and non-catalytic approaches towards Biginelli-type products, an overwhelming number of new catalysts for the Biginelli reaction have been recently publ...

One-pot multicomponent reaction for the synthesis of 2-amino-4-chromenes promoted by 1-methyl imidazoliumiodide [mim]Cl ionic- liquid catalyst under solvent-free conditions

A simple, clean, and environmentally benign three-component process for the synthesis of 2-amino-4Hchromenes using [mim]Cl, as an efficient catalyst under solvent-free conditions are described. A wide range of aromatic aldehydes easily undergoes condensations with 1-naphthol and malononitrile under solvent-free conditions to afford the desired products of good purity in excellent yields. Taking...

Brønsted acidic ionic liquid as a metal free catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of α-aminonitriles under mild and solvent-free conditions

An efficient, mild and environmentally friendly method was developed for the Strecker reaction to synthesize α-aminonitriles in the presence of methyl imidazolium hydrogen sulfate ([Hmim][HSO4]) as an efficient catalyst. These syntheses were performed via a one-pot three-component condensation of aldehydes (or ketones), amines, and trimethylsilyl cyanide under mild and solvent free c...
